HUMAN RESOURCE GENERALIST!!

Adecco is hiring for a Direct Hire HR Generalist for a Client located in Cicero, NY.

Salary range- 55,000-70,000, depending on experience.


Major Responsibilities:

  • Leaves of Absence, including initiating leave paperwork and approving leaves under FMLA, PFL, DBL, and Workers' Comp.

  • Work directly with short and long-term disability administrators

  • Provide Admin and Project Support for both HR and Production

  • Maintains Human Resources Information System (HRIS) records, entering new hire information, changes in employee demographics, and separation information. etc

  • Prepares and maintains special internal and external reports as requested.

  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs, including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.

  • Assists with planning/scheduling company-wide and department-level employee relations events.

  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.

  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Essential Knowledge and Skills:

  • HRIS System: ADP and e-time moving to Workforce Manager, ADP's new platform

  • Microsoft 365* Outlook and Excel – pivot tables, v-lookups

  • Able to provide outstanding customer service to our employees.

  • Time management skills and the ability to prioritize continually

  • Be able to multitask in a fast-paced manufacturing setting where priorities change daily depending on the needs of the business.


Education/Experience: Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in a related field, or any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
3-5 years of office background. An idle person would be a blue-collar office Admin or Office Manager, looking for something different. Or an HR Coordinator/HR Assistant that’s been in a blue-collar environment before, looking for the next step in their career, or a strong office administrator looking for more.
Work Schedule/Location:

  • 8 am - 4:30 pm, but may need to be flexible depending on events at the plant

  • Requests scheduled off for a specific day require advance notification and approval by the Supervisor/Manager.

  • Salaried: Generally scheduled for 40-45 hours; more hours may be required based on the needs of the business.

  • Summertime is the company's peak season, and work schedules will be heavier than normal.

  • Remote work or Hybrid is not possible for this role for at least a year but may allow one or two days a month after a year on the job. As approved by your manager.
