Certified Surgical Technologist

Looking for a certified surgical technologist with experience in Labor & Delivery, where cesarean sections (C/S) are a primary procedure. Required certifications and experience include:

  • NBSTSA Certification as a surgical technologist (CST) required
  • 2 years of scrubbing experience in L&D required
  • BLS certification required
  • Good communication skills
  • High School diploma or equivalency - Required
  • Certification and registration as a Certified Surgical Technologist - Required
  • Completion of an accredited surgical technology program or certification or degree from an accredited nursing program

    • To meet the needs of the customer by having knowledge of the surgical procedure, preparing supplies, equipment, and instrumentation for surgical cases. Anticipates the needs in the surgical field when passing instruments, and assist the surgical team in all procedures. The surgical technician is responsible for his/her case clean up, for positioning patients, moving patients and room turnovers.
