What you'll be doing
As a member of CIBC's team, the Senior Consultant, Business Systems Analysis will be responsible for providing advice and consultation for business application developments to ensure growth. The role provides technical leadership, interpreting complex information and participating in client business review sessions to influence decisions regarding the use of technology to support objectives. The Senior Consultant, Business Systems Analysis develops, recommends and facilitates activities required for the application of new technologies to support existing processes and client needs. The role provides expertise to project managers, coordinators and directors on technology functionality and utilization, utilizing a solid understanding of business dynamics. The role independently resolves a variety of ambiguous challenges with organization-wide impacts, devising new methods using strong analytic and inductive thinking.

How you'll succeed
  • Understanding and Documenting Requirements - Work closely with business partners to gather complex business requirements and facilitate solution design discussions to ensure you meet project needs. Build strong relationships, lead discussions, listen and ask the right questions to ensure solutions meet requirements. Primarily working with Rates desk but since it is a cross asset risk management platform they will opportunities working on other asset classes as well.
  • Solution Design - Build client-focused solutions that meet business requirements. Prepare and validate solution design documents around areas such as scope clarification, solution requirements, and quality assurance.
  • Leading and Mentoring - Support end-to-end project implementation as a subject matter expert, and provide guidance to a diverse team of technology and project professionals. Maintain a collaborative work environment and support team members to resolve organizational, operational, and process problems.

Who you are
  • You bring extensive BSA experience. With 5-8 years in a Business Systems Analysis in a BCS role, you have led projects and designed solutions across Capital Markets, Settlement or Fixed Income. Your expertise in financial products particularly Fixed Income, familiarity with end-to-end trade processes distinguishes you in this field.
  • You have expertise with industry platforms and tools. You are familiar with FIX protocol and XML, have experience working with Oracle databases and Bloomberg TOMS, and have hands-on experience with Alteryx. You have also worked with Confluence and Jira in Agile environments.
  • You bring advanced analytical and organizational abilities. You're adept at analyzing and understanding data, performing gap analysis, and utilizing Excel pivot tables, Visio, and other Microsoft Office applications.

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $130,000- $150,000 based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit's incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
