Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced Software Engineer (Endur).
Overview:
As DevOps Engineer, you will be a hands-on Engineer and be a member of a small high performing team responsible for global derivatives trading production environments. Your work will be driven both by product teams but also engineering team backlogs of improvements and tech debt.
Duties Include:
* Ensure proactive management of critical end-to-end workflows, continuously improving stability and resilience through close collaboration with delivery and infrastructure teams
* Assist with troubleshooting and issue resolution across development, support, and technical business users
* Serve as a subject matter expert for trading systems initiatives
* Being part of the on-call rotation working as part of a global team of development engineers
REQUIREMENTS:
* 10+ years of experience with Front Office application support and vendor management
* 8+ years of solid relevant FIX Engineering experience
* Hands-on experience in supporting scalable algorithmic trading technology in a compliant and flexible way
* Solid track record in application deployment best practices
* Rapid incident response to maintain continuous trading operations, turning quick fixes into robust, scalable solutions
* Understanding of trading lifecycle, including order capture and execution, allocation workflow, settlement, and compliance requirements
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and propose innovative solutions
* Must have strong technical skills in scripting, Python, PowerShell, C#, SQL or other programming languages
* Proven experience with exchange and vendor certification
* Knowledge of Third Party Networks and EMS/OMS software vendors. (e.g., TT, NYFIX, Bloomberg, TradingScreen)
* Experience of Algo regulation, audit and compliance & RTS6) is highly desirable
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
