About the Role
This is a rare chance to learn data analytics from the inside out at one of the fastest-growing healthcare startups in the country. As an Associate Data Analyst at Solace, you'll turn data into decisions that shape how millions of people experience healthcare.
Your work will be high impact and high visibility. You'll answer live questions from real stakeholders across our marketplace, with mentorship from senior analysts and ownership from day one. The best analysts learn how the business actually works, spot the problems worth solving, and bring insights before anyone asks.
This role is for the ambitious, the curious, and those who don't shy away from feedback. If you're the kind of person who sees a problem and can't resist solving it, keep reading.
This is an in person role in our Redwood City office, 3 days a week.
What You'll Do
  • Ship real analysis in your first weeks: answering live questions from Product, Operations, Marketing, and Finance stakeholders who will act on what you find.
  • Write SQL daily, working with structured and messy semi-structured data to extract signal from noise.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports in Hex that give stakeholders self-serve access to the metrics that matter most.
  • Learn how a multi-sided marketplace actually works: supply, demand, match quality, and conversion, and how data connects all of it.
  • Go beyond the ticket queue: build your own understanding of the business, proactively surface insights that change decisions, and present your findings directly to stakeholders.
  • Contribute to our dbt models, learning how the data layer is built and earning ownership of transformations as you ramp.
  • Grow your craft: learn how to write great SQL, design dashboards people actually use, talk to stakeholders, and make smart analytical decisions that drive business impact.

What You Bring to the Table
  • A bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Economics, Math, Computer Science, or related, graduating between December 2026 and June 2027.
  • Working SQL skills and the drive to become an expert fast.
  • Projects that show you can work with real data to drive impact: internships, research, coursework projects, hackathons, or personal analyses. We care about what you've actually dug into, not just what you studied.
  • You use AI as a real collaborator for SQL, code, and analysis, and you know when to double-check it. Fluency here means both: moving faster with it, and catching it when it's confidently wrong.
  • A bias toward action. You have an exceptional craving for momentum, and you'd rather ship a good answer today than a perfect answer in three weeks.
  • Confident communication. You can explain your thinking simply, take feedback without defensiveness, and lead with the "so what."

Bonus Points
  • Experience with a BI or notebook tool (Hex, Tableau, Looker, Metabase, Jupyter).
  • Python or R for analysis or automation.
  • Exposure to dbt or version control (Git).
