Bloomberg Intelligence (BI) delivers independent, data-driven research and interactive datasets integrated into the Bloomberg Terminal, helping investment professionals make decisions faster. With 500+ research professionals, BI provides company, credit, industry and strategy research across major global markets, covering 135+ industries and 2,000+ companies, including perspectives on company fundamentals as well as government policy, litigation and ESG. Our research and datasets are delivered through curated Terminal dashboards and interactive research decks, with underlying data typically one click away, drawing on proprietary Bloomberg sources and 600+ data contributors.
What's in it for you:
BI Associate Analyst - Media: You would be part of this expanding team and responsible for supporting the Media Senior Analyst in the Technology group. The Associate Analyst on the team will focus significantly on supporting the franchise with financial modeling, generating insights, writing, and conducting investment research. The analysis will be based on company financial data, industry leading data, Bloomberg's data sets, financial models as well as issuer calls and announcements.
We'll trust you to:
• Actively contribute to the team's daily research activities (i.e. data aggregation, financial modeling, written research, idea generation)
• Monitor and interpret major company developments and identify macro themes and trends affecting industries
• Manage significant data analysis and modeling responsibilities; synthesize the results, draw conclusions and develop concise narratives that communicate the story behind the data
• Review submitted research for adherence to global quality standards
• Develop and maintain relationships with internal departments throughout Bloomberg as well as external company, industry and data professionals; participate in department-wide special projects
• Work with other data and core business groups to help develop and enhance content and functionality across the terminal
• Interact with clients via our online messaging systems
• Use generative AI, machine learning tools and automation to improve research workflows, data discovery, modeling and content development.
You need to have:
• Graduated with a Bachelor's degree, preferably with a focus or concentration in Finance or related degree
• At least two years of financial market research or industry specific subject matter experience, with demonstrable research and analytical skills
• A deep understanding of advanced concepts, practices and procedures of finance/accounting
• Solid experience performing quantitative financial analysis, with knowledge of companies, industries, financial statement analysis & modeling
• The ability to spot anomalies in financial data, think critically about what the data is telling you and identify when something doesn't align or make sense
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• High level of curiosity and attention to detail
• Strong organization skills and capable of handling multiple projects; an ability to meet deadlines, logically tackle problems and set priorities
• Excellent written communication and presentation skills
• A commitment to enhancing and developing products
• Ability and willingness to adopt new technologies, including generative AI and automation, to build repeatable workflows, improve research efficiency and quality and support data-driven analysis.
We'd love to see:
• Proficient industry knowledge of the Media sector
• CFA designation and/or MBA degree, and/or graduate educational experience
• Experience using Python and/or visualization tools (i.e Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik Sense)

Salary Range = 100,000 - 120,000 USD Annual + Benefits + Bonus
The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
