System Test Engineer

Danvers, MA

Main duties and responsibilities:

- Characterize system performance (hemodynamics, blood compatibility, ease of use, strength and reliability, algorithms and software), draw conclusions from analysis and tests, and interpret the implications by using tools like Matlab, Python and R

- Participate in project team development activities; provide supports and ideas from testing standpoint to help with development efforts โ€“ include designing and executing exploratory tests to home in on the best design option.

- Coordinate with project leaders and conduct technical design reviews to drive project to a conclusion.

- Own system verification plans, and protocols

- Design and execute tests to verify products against specifications.

- Maintain the test lab to ensure effective use and operation

- Participate and lead brainstorming efforts

Qualifications:

- BS degree in engineering required.

- 8+ years of experience or equivalent, medical device experience preferable.

- Experience in blood loop design for hemodynamics testing.

- Strong conceptual design, engineering and statistical analytical skills, detailed design and testing skills required

- Hands on with test equipment.

- Passionate about knowing how and why things fail.

- Passionate about improving the performance of existing products.

- Some programming experience preferred
