Job description

Part-Time Marketing & Technology Assistant (Hybrid)

Pay$30–40/hour, depending on experience

Hours~15–20 hours/week, part-time

Location Hybrid — mostly remote, Columbus, OH area (occasional in-person as needed)

Schedule Flexible

About the role

We’re a multi-location retail business looking for a sharp, self-directed assistant to help run the technology and marketing side of the company. You’ll wear a few hats: keeping our digital tools running smoothly, sending marketing emails, writing the occasional blog post, and helping with day-to-day online tasks. There’s also room to review and report on our paid advertising if that’s a strength. The role is mostly remote, but we’re based in the Columbus, OH area and would need you to come in from time to time.

This is a great fit for someone who’s comfortable with web tools, picks things up fast, and can own tasks without a lot of hand-holding. Some of the work supports an affiliated business as well, so variety and the ability to switch contexts are a plus.

What you’ll do

  • Help manage and maintain our website and digital tools (WordPress/WooCommerce experience a plus)
  • Build and send marketing emails and newsletters (Klaviyo or similar platform)
  • Write and publish blog posts and other web content
  • Help manage SEO and our Google Business Profiles across locations (keeping hours, info, photos, and posts current)
  • Keep online listings, accounts, and digital housekeeping up to date
  • Build and maintain reports and dashboards (Power BI) and help with database work — pulling, organizing, and connecting our data
  • Support marketing for an affiliated business, including sending out marketing emails and keeping campaigns on track
  • Use AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, and similar) to work faster and support drafting, research, and day-to-day tasks
  • General “keep things moving” tech and marketing support as needs come up

Bonus / nice-to-have

  • Google Ads — comfort reviewing campaign performance, pulling reports, and flagging what’s working and what isn’t is a major plus and could expand the role
  • Facebook/Meta Ads experience
  • Basic graphic design (Canva or similar)
  • Email platform experience (Klaviyo, Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or similar)
  • SEO and Google Business Profile experience
  • Power BI, SQL, or other data/database experience

What we’re looking for

  • Reliable, organized, and able to work independently
  • Comfortable learning new software and troubleshooting on your own
  • Fluent (or eager to get fluent) using AI tools to do better work, faster
  • Strong written communication for emails and blog content
  • Responsive and good at keeping things from falling through the cracks
  • Some experience with web/marketing tools (you don’t need to be an expert in everything, but you should be able to ramp up quickly)
