Job description

"SZNS Solutions (pronounced "seasons") is a technology consulting company and Google Cloud Partner based in Reston VA. We specialize in delivering agentic AI and cloud computing solutions. Founded by ex-Googlers with engineers from Google, Amazon, and Capital One, SZNS differentiates itself particularly in AI, data engineering, blockchain, and cloud-native software application development.”

Role Summary

We’re seeking a Forward Deployed Software Engineer (FDE) that operates at the intersection of product engineering, sales engineering, and technical consulting. As a builder, translator, and change agent, you will embed directly with strategic enterprise and government partners to solve their most complex operational bottlenecks. We are not a traditional consulting firm; we are builders who believe that the best way to advise a customer is to show them working software.

Key Responsibilities

  • Rapidly Build and Deploy: Embed with customer teams to design, build, and deploy new workflows or applications from first sketch to real-world impact
  • Agentic Workflows: Design evaluation and feedback loops to verify AI performance and safety, ensuring reliable deployments. Perform threat modeling and evaluation to ensure robust guardrails and "Non-Human Identity" policies to ensure enterprise safety
  • Trusted Technical Advisor: Be the principal technical interface to client leadership and stakeholders for accelerating deals and long-term strategic partnerships
  • Client Enablement: As the resident expert, you’ll participate with client-side workshops, technical trainings, and hackathons
  • Always Improve: Extract field insights and translate them into reusable patterns, accelerators, and playbooks that strengthen the core SZNS platform for future customers

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
  • Strong cloud experience (GCP, AWS, Azure)
  • Strong full-stack proficiency, particularly in Python, TypeScript, Go, Rust, or Java
  • Demonstrated experience building and shipping production-quality code in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
  • Experience deploying Agentic workflows (e.g., ADK, Agents SDK) and agent orchestration
  • Experience building evaluation frameworks for AI workflows and systems
  • Familiarity and efficient use of AI-enabled tools (e.g., Gemini Code Assist, Claude Code, or Codex)
  • Deep customer empathy, low ego, and exceptional communication skills to bridge the gap between complex engineering systems and business leaders
  • Experience with containerized environments (Kubernetes/GKE)
  • Active Google Cloud certifications, or willingness to obtain within one month of joining
  • Obsession for impact in highly ambiguous environments and favors rapid action over perfect clarity
  • US Citizen
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering, cloud architecture, and deployments
  • Experience in a software consulting or professional services capacity for strategic accounts
  • Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments
  • Prior customer-facing or technical pre-sales experience
  • Prior experience with containerized environments (Kubernetes/GKE)
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, HIPAA, etc.) and security strategies
  • A proven track record of mentorship and raising the technical bar for engineering teams

Benefits

    • Competitive salary and benefits package
    • Hybrid work environment (MWF in-person in our Reston office)
    • A collaborative and innovative work environment
    • Continuous learning and development opportunities
