What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Blockchain Developer, and why are they important?

A Blockchain Developer should possess strong programming skills (such as in Solidity, JavaScript, or Python), a solid understanding of cryptography, and experience with distributed ledger technologies, typically backed by a degree in computer science or a related field. Familiarity with blockchain platforms (like Ethereum or Hyperledger), smart contract development, and relevant certifications (such as Certified Blockchain Developer) are highly beneficial. Attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and effective collaboration are standout soft skills in this role. These competencies enable developers to build secure, reliable, and innovative blockchain solutions that meet complex business and technical requirements.

What Does a Blockchain Developer Do?

A blockchain is a digital, public transaction record or digital ledger. People usually associate it with the cryptocurrency Bitcoin, but blockchain technology can also record digital transactions with other cryptocurrencies, data, or information. Unlike other forms of finance, cryptocurrencies that rely on the blockchain are decentralized, so people can access Bitcoin and other digital currencies without going to a bank. Computer experts and cryptographers are developing additional ways to use blockchain technology, such as for trade and healthcare records.

What is the difference between Blockchain Developer vs Blockchain Engineer?

What are Blockchain Developers?

Blockchain Developers are professionals who design, build, and maintain decentralized applications and smart contracts using blockchain technology. They work with various blockchain platforms like Ethereum, Hyperledger, or Solana to create secure and transparent systems for industries such as finance, supply chain, and healthcare. Their responsibilities include developing protocols, writing code for smart contracts, and ensuring the security and integrity of blockchain networks.

What are some common challenges Blockchain Developers face when integrating blockchain solutions with existing enterprise systems?

Blockchain Developers often encounter challenges when integrating blockchain solutions with legacy enterprise systems, such as ensuring interoperability between different technologies, managing data consistency, and addressing scalability concerns. Additionally, developers must navigate security protocols and compliance requirements unique to blockchain while collaborating closely with IT, security, and business teams. Job description

Overview

Head of Product - AIVM (Agentic AI & Blockchain Platform)

Location: Remote (Global)

Position: Head of Product

Company: AIVM

Position Type: Full-Time

About AIVM

AIVM is building the guardrails for the post-human agentic economy, integrating cutting-edge AI and Blockchain technology. Our toolkit will enable standardized agentic payments, identity, and accountability, providing a key piece of infrastructure for the coming 1 billion AI agents. AIVM is part of the ChainGPT ecosystem, a pioneer in the decentralized AI field.

About The Role

We are looking for a highly technical and execution-driven Head of Product to lead one of the most ambitious initiatives in Web3: the AIVM (Artificial Intelligence Virtual Machine).

Reporting to the CEO, you will translate AIVM's company vision into product architecture, roadmap, developer experience, and launch execution, including:

  • The Policy Oracle: Cryptographic guardrails that intercept, evaluate, and enforce agent action before execution
  • Agent Identity and Reputation: including emerging standards such as ERC-8004
  • Programmable Payments and Wallet Abstraction: including x402-inspired flows
  • Immutable Accountability: via execution receipts that make agent actions traceable and auditable

We are currently in a high-velocity, pre-mainnet phase.

This is not a conventional SaaS feature-shipping role. You will define primitives, product architecture, developer experience, and ecosystem adoption from pre-mainnet to launch.

Responsibilities

The immediate priority is to inherit the current roadmap, pressure-test the core primitives, align engineering and go-to-market, and drive the platform toward testnet/mainnet readiness.

Product Vision & Platform Strategy

  • Inherit and evolve the existing product vision, roadmap, and platform strategy for the AIVM ecosystem
  • Position AIVM as a category-defining decentralized AI infrastructure layer
  • Translate complex technical capabilities into clear product strategy and market positioning

Platform & Ecosystem Design

  • Lead the design of AIVM as a multi-sided platform serving:
  • Agent developers and AI application teams
  • Protocols and apps integrating autonomous agents
  • Enterprises needing policy, compliance, and controlled execution
  • Node operators / validators / infrastructure providers
  • Data, compute, and model providers
  • Define core primitives: APIs, SDKs, execution layers, and developer experience

Execution & Product Leadership

  • Build and lead a high-performance product function
  • Drive end-to-end product execution from concept to Mainnet and beyond
  • Establish product processes that balance speed, quality, and scalability
  • Partner deeply with engineering to align on architecture, trade-offs, and delivery
  • Run product and technical execution rituals to maintain roadmap clarity, accountability, and delivery momentum

Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Act as the central bridge between product, engineering, marketing, and business development
  • Collaborate on go-to-market strategy, product launches, and narrative
  • Support partnerships with strong product thinking and technical clarity

Data, Metrics & Optimization

  • Define and track core product and ecosystem KPIs:
  • Developer adoption
  • Agent deployments
  • Network activity and retention
  • Use insights to continuously refine product direction and priorities
Requirements

Must have:

  • 7+ years of experience in Product Management, including 2-3+ years in leadership roles
  • Technical experience is mandatory for this role. The candidate must be able to communicate effectively with our Tech Team and discuss in technical language
  • Optional(but really important to have):
  • Solid understanding of AI/ML infrastructure (inference, training, compute economics)
  • Experience building platforms, infrastructure products, or developer-facing systems
  • Strong background in blockchain/Web3, ideally L1, L2, or AI ecosystems
  • Proven ability to define and execute product strategy in complex, emerging markets

Strong Plus:

  • Experience working in remote, fast-paced, high-ownership environments
  • Utilizing AI Agents infrastructures for optimization (Claude/OpenClaw)
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to align technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Comfortable operating before product-market fit, where the job is to reduce ambiguity, define primitives, and force trade-offs
Benefits
  • Work on one of the most ambitious AI x Blockchain infrastructure products in the market
  • Remote-first setup with flexible hours, focused on outcomes, trust, and ownership
  • Competitive compensation, with performance-based upside where applicable
  • Fast-moving environment with direct access to leadership and zero micromanagement
  • The tools, autonomy, and support needed to build at scale
Additional Information
  • Employment Compliance and Confidentiality: All employees will be onboarded through our official payroll and HR provider, which manages employment documentation, tax withholdings, and compliance with legal requirements based on the employee's country of residence. As part of the onboarding process, each new hire is required to complete a Know Your Customer (KYC) verification, sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), execute an employment contract, and fulfill any additional legal requirements specific to you jurisdiction. This process ensures compliance, protects company information, and establishes a secure and professional employment relationship
  • Employment Structure: The position is offered on either an employee or contractor basis, depending on the location and role. Individuals will receive payment via direct deposit on a monthly basis. Additional details regarding compensation, benefits, and company policies will be provided during onboarding and outlined in the official employment agreement
  • Compensation: Salaries are paid in fiat currency via direct deposit on a monthly schedule, with payments issued on the first business day of each month. This structure ensures timely and transparent compensation aligned with local financial systems
  • Probationary Period: All new employees will undergo a 90-day probationary period, which serves as a mutual evaluation phase. During this time, both the employee and ChainGPT can assess fit, performance, and long-term alignment with the role and company
