We're looking for a responsible and skilled Technician Block Production to join our team. This role is integral to our operations, requiring a strong physical presence and the ability to handle substantial weight with ease. This position involves the continuous handling of concrete blocks, each weighing an average of 50 lbs., demanding both strength and endurance.
 

Job Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL GET TO DO

As a Technician Block Production at Cemex, your daily responsibilities will include: 

  • Safety Compliance: Uphold and advocate for a safe and compliant working environment. 
  • Communication & Instruction: Communicate effectively, following verbal and written instructions to ensure operational efficiency. 
  • Physical Stamina: Maintain stamina and focus while standing for extended periods. 
  • Climbing & Navigation: Navigate and climb conveyors and vertical ladders, demonstrating mechanical aptitude. 
  • Role Adaptability: Learn and adapt to various operational roles including operator, cuber, and forklift duties. 
  • Machinery Operation: Operate heavy machinery such as wheeled loaders and forklifts with proficiency. 
  • Additional Responsibilities: Execute additional responsibilities as directed by management. 
  • Physical Tasks: Perform various physical tasks including bending, squatting, stooping, sweeping, and shoveling. 
  • Tool & Equipment Use: Utilize tools and equipment with dexterity and precision. 
  • Workplace Safety: Adhering to all workplace safety protocols and guidelines. 
Qualifications

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

To succeed in this role, you should bring: 

  • Educational and Licensing Requirements: High School Diploma.
  • Experience: Prior experience with forklift operation is highly desirable. 
  • Skills: A background in electrical work, welding, and fabrication is advantageous.
