Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Lead Azure Integration Engineer to join our Enterprise Integration Team. As a Lead Engineer you will be responsible for developing and implementing advanced integration concepts, techniques, and standards using Azure Integration Services and BizTalk Server. You will be viewed as an expert in the field and will guide the modernization of our enterprise integration environment from BizTalk to Azure cloud services. You will contribute to new integration designs based on professional principles and recognized architectural practices.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement advanced integration solutions that address complex problems requiring creativity, innovation, and strong technical judgment.
  • Provide technical leadership and architectural expertise in the design and implementation of integration solutions using Azure Integration Services, including Logic Apps Standard, API Management, Service Bus, Event Grid, and Azure Functions.
  • Lead the modernization of BizTalk Server solutions to Azure based integration platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross functional partners in development, operations, and business areas to ensure integration solutions align with business requirements and are implemented correctly.
  • Partner with Cyber Security to ensure integration solutions follow security best practices and comply with enterprise security standards.
  • Partner with Enterprise Architecture to ensure integration designs align with the enterprise architecture vision and long-term strategy.
  • Serve as an advisor to the organization on integration policies, programs, capabilities, and long-term goals related to cloud integration and legacy modernization.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to developers and engineers to promote best practices and consistency in integration development.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies and apply this knowledge to improve integration patterns, standards, and modernization approaches.

Required Skills and Education
  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum twelve years of experience in Information Technology with at least eight years in integration architecture.
  • Strong problem-solving ability with the skill to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills and technical leadership skills with the ability to partner with diverse stakeholders and teams.
  • Strong understanding of digital thread concepts, publish and subscribe patterns, and real time data exchange.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise integration concepts including service-based architectures, APIs, messaging systems, asynchronous patterns, and event driven designs.
  • Strong experience with BizTalk Server and BizTalk modernization to Azure based integration platforms.
  • Proven experience in Azure Integration Services including Logic Apps Standard, API Management, Service Bus, Event Grid, and Azure Functions.

Preferred Skills and Education
  • Experience with Azure, or AWS based integration services.
  • Certification in Azure integration related technologies or BizTalk Server.
  • Knowledge of agile development practices and DevOps approaches.
  • Knowledge of open-source integration tools such as Apache Camel, Apache Kafka, or Red Hat Fuse.
  • Experience with integration frameworks such as Spring Integration or Apache CXF.
  • Experience with container-based platforms such as Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with standards and practices such as TOGAF, ITIL, and ISO frameworks.
