Job description

Job Title: Graduate Student Employee Biweekly - HSB AI Consultant

Job Classification: Graduate Student Employee Biweekly

Department: Hankamer School of Business - Technology Center

Work Schedule: Flexible schedule, up to 20 hours per week

Desired Length of Employment: Beginning of Fall 2026 through Ongoing

Pay Rate: $15/hr

Job Description:

Required qualifications include: must be a currently enrolled student in good academic standing; demonstrated knowledge and experience using AI tools; strong verbal communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical to faculty/staff/students; and commitment to academic integrity and the responsible use of technology. Preferred qualifications include: experience developing AI agents and other advanced AI tools; familiarity with academic and business-specific AI use cases, such as a study tutor, learning optimizer, test preparation, research and literature synthesis, feedback and peer review simulation, office automations, and any business-case examples; and prior experience in tutoring, mentoring, or technical support.    

Key Responsibilities:

  • HSB AI Canvas Courses: Continually review and update courses, refreshing content to enhance the AI community developed through the courses. 
  • Faculty/Staff Consultation: Provide walk-in and scheduled support for faculty/staff using tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot and Gemini.
  • Strategic Prompting: Help faculty/staff transition from simple queries to effective, multi-step prompting and persona-based interactions.
  • Agent & Workflow Exploration: Assist faculty/staff in identifying and exploring AI agents relevant to their respective business disciplines to enhance their current studies and create a seamless transition into their professional careers.
  • Responsibility Guidance: Educate faculty/staff on university AI policies, proper citation, and identifying AI limitations, such as hallucinations and bias, to ensure responsible usage.

Resource Creation: Develop accessible "quick-start" guides, use-case templates, example solutions/outcomes, and video snippets for HSB faculty/staff use.
