Audiologist (School-Based)


Location: Burlington & Ottumwa, IA
Job Type: Full-Time (Open to Part-Time)
Practice Setting: School-Based / Early Intervention (Birth to Age 3)
Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (194-Day School Contract)


Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Audiologist to provide hearing screenings, diagnostic evaluations, and ongoing support for children in a school-based setting. This role focuses on early detection, intervention, and collaboration with families, educators, and healthcare providers.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct hearing screenings for early identification of hearing loss

  • Perform diagnostic and rehabilitative audiological evaluations

  • Coordinate care and provide follow-up with families and healthcare teams

  • Participate in Early Hearing Detection and Intervention (EDHI) programs

  • Recommend, maintain, and troubleshoot assistive listening devices

  • Communicate hearing status to school personnel and clinical teams

  • Supervise audio metrists per licensure requirements

  • Maintain equipment calibration and accurate documentation

  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, FERPA, and regulatory standards


Qualifications:
  • Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) or equivalent

  • Audiologist Endorsement required

  • Eligible for or holding Professional Service License

  • Open to new graduates

  • Strong knowledge of pediatric audiology and hearing care

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills


Certifications:
  • Audiologist Endorsement (required)

  • State Licensure (required or eligible)
