Job description

The Jewish Security Network (JSN) is a newly established organization based in Toronto dedicated to safeguarding Jewish lives and preserving the Jewish way of life. Led by a team of experienced professionals, JSN works in partnership with community institutions to proactively strengthen security and resilience.

About the Opportunity

The Summer Intern - Event Coordinator will support the JSN Events Team in planning, coordinating, and executing a range of community and security-focused initiatives. This role provides hands-on experience in event logistics, stakeholder coordination, and administrative operations within a dynamic, mission-driven environment.

Working closely with the Senior Events Manager and Campus Security team, the intern will contribute to the successful delivery of events while building practical skills in organization, communication, and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Senior Events Manager with event logistics, including inventory tracking systems for equipment and coordination with vendors to ensure timely delivery, distribution, and collection.
  • Assist in coordinating new events in collaboration with the Department Coordinator, ensuring all activities are documented and integrated into the planning docket.
  • Provide administrative support to the Campus and Events Security Team, including distributing communications and updates to Campus Managers.
  • Work alongside Campus Managers to support training initiatives for tenants, including logistics such as room bookings, attendance tracking, and follow-up communications.
  • Contribute to the preparation and refinement of tenant-specific training materials and resources.
  • Assist with general event preparation and on-site coordination as required.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proactive, reliable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Comfortable using standard office tools (e.g., email, spreadsheets, document management systems).
  • Interest in event planning, community engagement, or security operations is an asset.
