The Department of Biological Sciences at California State University San Marcos seeks a part‑time lecturer for Fall 2026 to lecture BIOT 460: Scientific Communication in Biotechnology.

Course Overview: The study of communication principles and rhetorical strategies employed to effectively communicate with intended audiences in the biotechnology industry. Students will apply this knowledge to plan, prepare, construct, and evaluate communication situations in which they serve as both producers and consumers of communication in careers related to biotechnology.

Salary:

  • Anticipated hiring salary range: $5,507 – $8,000 per full‑time month.
  • CSU Classification Salary Range Lecturer A – AY: $5,507 – $6,677 per full‑time month.
  • CSU Classification Salary Range Lecturer B – AY: $6,221 – $13,224 per full‑time month.
