Job description

Oncology Sales Representative (Field-Based) โ€” Richmond/Southern Virginia territory (Norfolk, Williamsburg, Virginia Beach, Richmond)

Responsibilities
  • Attain or exceed assigned sales goals for the geography.
  • Meet key stakeholders to understand practice structure, business model, and influencers; build relationships and uncover needs.
  • Use approved resources/messaging to communicate patient-centered value of oncology products for indicated uses.
  • Apply knowledge of extended care/multidisciplinary teams, cancer staging, treatment options, pathways, and guidelines.
  • Analyze trends in complex buying environments (GPOs, wholesalers, specialty pharmacies).
  • Review/evaluate purchase and prescription patterns (outpatient vs inpatient infusion; hospital/GPO contracts).
  • Develop and execute short- and long-term account plans with the local team and district manager.
  • Ask insightful questions to support relevant conversations about the product portfolio.
  • Ensure consistent customer experience and share learnings with the in-scope team.
Qualifications
  • Minimum: Bachelorโ€™s degree + 6 years sales experience OR high school diploma + 8 years equivalent experience.
  • Equivalent experience may include non-sales healthcare/scientific oncology experience (pharma/biotech/medical devices), marketing, or military experience.
  • Valid driverโ€™s license; travel including overnight 10โ€“15%; reside in/near the district.
  • Preferred: 2+ years oncology field-based experience selling oncology therapeutics; oncology field sales or clinical oncology experience.
Required/Preferred Skills (role-relevant)
  • Account management, business relationship building, customer engagement/CRM, data analysis/market analysis, oncology/product knowledge, sales forecasting/reporting.
