This faculty role is affiliated with the School of Medicine at the University of Texas at Tyler, with practice occurring in facilities operated by UT Health East Texas.

We are currently looking for a full-time, board-certified or board-eligible Faculty Gynecologic Oncologist to join our team at a hospital located in Tyler, TX, just 92 miles from Dallas. Together, we can positively impact the healthcare landscape in East Texas.

• Hold a faculty position within the medical school, actively participating in the education of residents.
• Utilize cutting-edge surgical technology, including the da Vinci robotic surgical system.
• Engage in research collaborations through GOG and MD Anderson clinical trials.
• Maintain a balanced workload between inpatient and outpatient care.
• Typically, your schedule will consist of 2-3 days in the outpatient clinic and 2-3 days in the operating room, with the chance to oversee the chemotherapy clinic.
• Benefit from a comprehensive support team, including several Advanced Practice Providers focused on oncology services.
• Collaborate with various specialists, including OBGyn Faculty, OBGyn Hospitalists, Medical Oncologists, and Urogynecologists.

• Participate in a collaborative call structure shared among multiple specialties, allowing for flexibility and input from the incoming physician.

UT Health East Texas encompasses 10 hospitals, over 90 clinics, the Olympic Plaza Tower, 13 regional rehabilitation centers, two freestanding emergency facilities, and regional home health services covering 41 counties. Our EMS fleet includes more than 50 ambulances and four helicopters, along with a comprehensive trauma care network featuring the only Level 1 trauma center in the region. In 2024, we expanded our network by adding six Urgent Care clinics. Our dedicated team consists of nearly 400 employed providers and over 7,000 staff members.

The University of Texas at Tyler School of Medicine is the first medical school in East Texas and the seventh within the University of Texas System. Its mission focuses on training future healthcare professionals to address the unique needs of rural and underserved communities, particularly in East Texas.

The school boasts a comprehensive Graduate Medical Education program, offering 20 residency and fellowship training programs that equip graduates with specialized skills in fields such as family medicine, internal medicine, neurology, psychiatry, surgery, and anesthesia. Currently, a five-story, 248,000-square-foot Medical Education Building (MEB) is under construction in Tyler's Midtown District. The MEB is expected to be completed by fall 2025.
