Our organization is currently looking for a full-time Board Certified/Board Eligible Faculty Gynecologic Oncologist to join our team at the medical school affiliated with our healthcare facilities in Tyler, TX, located 92 miles from Dallas. Together, we aim to make a significant impact in East Texas.

• Hold a faculty position within the medical school, actively participating in the education of residents.
• Utilize advanced surgical technologies, including the da Vinci robotic surgical system.
• Engage in research collaborations through GOG and MD Anderson clinical trials.
• Manage a balanced workload of inpatient and outpatient duties.
• Typically, your schedule will consist of 2-3 days in the outpatient clinic and 2-3 days in the operating room, with the chance to oversee the chemotherapy clinic.
• Work alongside a dedicated support team, including several Advanced Practice Providers focused on oncology services.
• Collaborate with various specialists, such as OBGyn Faculty, OBGyn Hospitalists, Medical Oncologists, and Urogynecologists.
• Explore opportunities for collaboration with rural clinics across East Texas.
• Participate in a shared call structure among multiple specialties, allowing for flexibility and input from the incoming physician.

Our healthcare system encompasses 10 hospitals, over 90 clinics, the Olympic Plaza Tower, 13 regional rehabilitation facilities, two standalone emergency centers, and regional home health services covering 41 counties. We also operate an EMS fleet with more than 50 ambulances and four helicopters, along with a comprehensive trauma care network, including the only Level 1 trauma facility in the region. The University of Texas at Tyler School of Medicine is the first medical school in East Texas and the seventh within the University of Texas System. Its mission focuses on training future healthcare professionals to address the unique needs of rural and underserved communities, particularly in East Texas.

The school boasts a comprehensive Graduate Medical Education program with 20 residency and fellowship training programs, allowing graduates to specialize in fields such as family medicine, internal medicine, neurology, psychiatry, surgery, and anesthesia. Additionally, the Master of Biotechnology program offers an interdisciplinary curriculum emphasizing medical research and biotechnology innovation, preparing students for careers in medical research, diagnostics, and therapeutic development.

Currently, we are constructing a five-story, 248,000-square-foot Medical Education Building (MEB) in Tyler's Midtown District. This facility, connected by a skybridge to UT Health Tyler, will support interdisciplinary education for medical students and resident training, contributing to the expansion of medical education throughout our health system. The MEB is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2025.
