Job description

Please submit your cover letter and resume to admin@rnaadvisors.com. Only complete applications sent to this address will be considered.

Position Overview

RNA Advisors, LLC seeks a Manager to lead valuation engagements across the full lifecycle of biotech and pharmaceutical equity—from preclinical-stage private companies through late-stage public enterprises—and to serve as a front-line ambassador for RNA Advisors' hybrid consulting and AI-enabled intelligence platform. You will help clients understand how clinical, regulatory, and commercial phase transitions reshape the risk and value profile of their equity, and you will leverage RNA Advisors' integrated tools to deliver faster, more defensible outcomes.

The ideal candidate combines deep valuation expertise with the ability to articulate the opportunities and advantages of working within a technology-enabled intelligence ecosystem, guiding prospective and existing clients through the transition from traditional advisory relationships to RNA Advisors' platform-powered service model. This role sits at the intersection of technical delivery and client development, and candidates should expect to contribute meaningfully to both.

Key Responsibilities

•       Lead valuation engagements spanning the biotech equity lifecycle, from early-stage venture-backed companies navigating IND filings and proof-of-concept data through late-stage public companies facing commercial launch, lifecycle management, and M&A considerations.

•       Develop and communicate frameworks for understanding how clinical phase transitions, regulatory milestones, and commercialization events drive shifts in equity value, risk profile, and ownership structure.

•       Build and maintain financial models using option-based allocation methods, probability-weighted scenario analyses, discounted cash flow techniques, and comparable benchmarking with defensible assumptions; ensure all deliverables are audit-ready and meet technical, editorial, and visual standards.

•       Serve as a primary client advisor, guiding both prospective and current clients through RNA Advisors' hybrid consulting and technology model—demonstrating how platform capabilities enhance the speed, depth, and rigor of traditional advisory services.

•       Lead client demos, onboarding sessions, and discovery conversations that articulate the value proposition of RNA Advisors' integrated valuation, ownership intelligence, and real-world evidence tools.

•       Conduct competitive and market research across pipelines, clinical trials, pricing, reimbursement, and regulatory pathways using RNA Advisors' AI-enabled intelligence capabilities.

•       Support the transition of existing consulting engagements into platform-enabled workflows, identifying opportunities to embed RNA Advisors' tools into recurring client processes.

•       Contribute to business development through proposals, case studies, and relationship-building, with a focus on communicating how RNA Advisors' model creates differentiated outcomes for clients.

•       Provide structured feedback to the product team on client needs, workflow gaps, and platform usability to inform ongoing product development.

•       Refine methodologies, templates, and benchmarks; codify best practices that integrate platform tools into standard engagement workflows.

•       Mentor and develop junior team members through structured feedback, skills roadmaps, and training on modeling, research, writing, and client communication.

Qualifications

•       5–9+ years of experience in biotech or pharmaceutical valuation, life sciences consulting, corporate strategy, equity research, transaction advisory, or similar roles with exposure to companies across development stages.

•       Strong financial modeling experience, including fluency with option-based allocation frameworks for multi-class equity structures, probability-weighted scenario modeling across clinical and regulatory outcomes, discounted cash flow analysis incorporating risk-adjusted pipeline economics, and comparable company and transaction benchmarking as applied to life sciences equity.

•       Deep familiarity with drug development lifecycles, clinical phase transitions, regulatory milestones, and their impact on equity value and risk.

•       Advanced degree (MBA, MS, PhD) in Finance, Life Sciences, or a related field preferred; undergraduate degree in a quantitative or scientific discipline required.

•       Technical fluency with Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Python, SQL, or data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.

•       Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex scientific and financial dynamics into clear narratives for C-suite executives, investors, and board members.

•       Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity, frame problems, and prioritize high-impact analysis in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

•       Comfort operating at the intersection of advisory delivery and technology adoption, with a track record of helping clients embrace new tools or workflows.

Preferred Skills

•       Demonstrated ability to communicate the value of technology-enabled services to senior stakeholders, including translating platform capabilities into client-relevant language.

•       Experience with financial databases and clinical/regulatory sources (e.g., Capital IQ, PitchBook, Evaluate Pharma, ClinicalTrials.gov, FDA/EMA documents).

•       Experience with AI tools for research, drafting, data analysis, and quality control.

•       Exposure to cap table management, equity structuring, or venture-backed company dynamics.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary: $150,000 – $200,000, commensurate with experience. Performance bonus eligibility in addition to base. Full relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits provided.
