The ideal candidate combines strong communications expertise with scientific literacy and a solid understanding of the biopharmaceutical sector, allowing this person to translate complex scientific and clinical data into clear and engaging narratives for investors, media, and other key stakeholders.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive external communications strategies that advance the company’s corporate objectives.

  • Develop and update corporate website and social media content, ensuring updates are timely, accurate, and aligned with corporate messaging priorities.
  • Support investor relations activities, including earnings communications, investor conferences, and other public company events.
  • Help guide publication planning activities around medical/scientific conference presentations and journal articles to ensure alignment with corporate and program goals.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners, including investor relations advisors, public relations firms, and media contacts, to coordinate consistent and effective corporate messaging.
  • Monitor industry trends, investor sentiment, and media coverage to inform communications planning, identify opportunities, and mitigate reputational risks.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, or Life Sciences; advanced degree (M.S., Ph.D., or MBA) preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in corporate communications, investor relations, or public relations within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting communications for a publicly traded company, including familiarity with SEC disclosure standards and earnings processes.
  • Ability to distill complex scientific or clinical information into clear narratives tailored for both technical and financial audiences.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and presentation skills, with close attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Strong understanding of the biotech capital markets ecosystem and the communications needs of public investors and analysts.
  • Experience working with external agencies and consultants supporting communications and investor relations.
  • Experience supporting major corporate or pipeline announcements for a NASDAQ-listed biotechnology company.
