Lonza Pharma & Biotech has an opening for an Operations Material Handler at our Bend, Oregon site. In this role, you will support manufacturing operations by ensuring materials and equipment are available, compliant, and properly managed. Your work will help maintain a safe and efficient environment that enables us to deliver life-changing products to patients worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow and maintain compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Support day-to-day material handling and inventory control activities
  • Manage hazardous waste and bulk solvent processes safely and efficiently
  • Ensure work areas are stocked, organized, and meet safety standards
  • Coordinate equipment transfers and maintain accurate logbooks
  • Report issues promptly and assist with facility maintenance requests
  • Participate in continuous improvement and safety initiatives
  • Position will work 12-hour shifts (Sun-Tues, every other Wed) from 8;30am - 9:00pm. This will include some holidays.

Key Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED (associate or bachelor’s degree preferred)
  • Clean driving record and active driver's license
  • Experience with inventory control systems (SAP preferred)
  • Familiarity with manufacturing or material handling environments
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality standards
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Certifications in Lean Manufacturing or similar are a plus
