About the Role:
The Business Development & Alliance Management team under the Chief Legal & Business Officer steers BioNTech's business development of new partnerships and alliance management of existing external collaborations with strategic partners, which include pharmaceutical companies and biotech's. The Co-Op/Intern in the Business Alliances team at BioNTech US will have the opportunity to assist a member(s) of the team in cross-functional projects among Business Alliances, Legal, Intellectual Property, and/or Research & Development.
You Contribution:
In this role, the Co-Op/Intern will be empowered to contribute to any of the following:
  • Coordination of contractual obligations related to multi-partner, multi-asset clinical trial combination strategies,
  • Identifying and helping implement a fit-for-purpose Alliance Health Check platform,
  • Supporting the development of an alliance management and collaborations playbook,
  • Contributing to other business alliance initiatives, as assigned, based on the candidate's education and/or experience (e.g., establishing a royalty monitoring function or implementation of tools for contracts obligation management)

A good match:
  • Completed at least three (3) years of undergraduate coursework in biology, business or a related field, with an interest in R&D; or currently enrolled in a graduate program such as an MBA, PharmD, or MD with an interest in Biotechnology.
  • Minimum of approximately 3.2 GPA
  • Past experiences in a pharmaceutical/biotech company, life sciences consulting, or clinical research
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work cross-functionally
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a passion to learn
  • Responsible and able to sensitivity handle confidential Information
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office applications
  • Full-time or part-time availability (candidates are encouraged to inquire).
