What is a biomedical tech?

Biomedical techs, also known as biomedical equipment technicians (BMETs), are professionals who install, maintain, and repair medical equipment used in healthcare settings. They ensure that devices such as defibrillators, ventilators, and patient monitors are functioning safely and effectively. Biomedical Technicians in hospitals often encounter challenges such as managing a high volume of equipment maintenance requests, troubleshooting complex medical devices with minimal downtime, and staying updated with rapidly evolving technology.
