As part of our continuing growth in this high technology market, the Medical, Life Sciences and Scientific Group is recruiting for a Technical Leader in Waterloo !
The Technical Leader is responsible for systems architecture, technical strategy, and team guidance. This role makes technical decisions and influences architecture, communicates across stakeholders, and ensures technical excellence and team productivity.
What You Will Do:
The duties and responsibilities outlined below reflect the core functions of the role. However, the organization may assign additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to meet operational and strategic objectives. Flexibility and adaptability are essential, as the scope of the role may evolve in response to changing business needs.
Independently lead technical projects and drive product and/or technology development
Provide customers with technical guidance with support from technical experts
Collaborate with cross-functional team members
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Participate in new business development activities
Participate in design reviews and adhere to design control processes.
Provide input on technical decisions and contribute to internal technical discussions.
Identify and communicate technical risks to senior leaders.
Suggest improvements to engineering workflows
Engage with internal stakeholders to clarify requirements and support customer needs.
Support testing and validation of components.
Communicate progress and challenges to senior staff
Develop and maintain project documentation for both internal and external stakeholders.

What You Need:
A minimum of 5 years of related experience(engineering, electronics, sensors, optics, software) with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
A strong understanding of life sciences, with backgrounds in biomedical engineering or experience in multiple roles within the field.
Experience in medical or scientific research and development, product design, product management, market access, or technology development is highly valued.
Lean and agile orientation is preferred, particularly for those with a demonstrated ability in design thinking and innovative problem-solving.

Salary Range:
$114,200.00-$152,300.000The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate.
