Job description

Shady Grove Medical CenterIf you are a current Adventist HealthCare employee, please click this link to apply through your Workday account.Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Biomedical Engineering Manager for our Biomedical Engineering Department who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.
As a Biomedical Engineering Manager, you will:
Be responsible for all medical equipment evaluation including all safety, performance testing procedures, preventive maintenance checks and repairs for the patient cares areas.
Lead and coordinates service contracts and supplies information and recommendation for the purchase of new equipment.
Maintain service and maintenance records as well as the inventory of all clinical equipment.
Maintain preventative maintenance records on all equipment included in the program.
Assure competency of all biomedical engineering staff and assists in formulating operating budget.
Maintain efficient and effective department operation while requiring compliance with all JCAHO, state, federal and local regulatory laws, standards and protocols.
Ensure that work requests from equipment users are responded to within established timeframes.
Qualifications include:
Bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering preferred
5 years' BioMed management experience
5 years' healthcare experience, hospital experience preferred
Previous experience to oversee and manage financial budgets and business/strategic planning

Work Schedule:

  • Employment Type: Full-time
  • Hours per Week: 40 hrs/week
  • Typical Daily Schedule: Monday through Friday(business hours)
  • Shift Type: Day
  • Weekend Requirements: Available to take calls and come in when needed
  • Holiday Requirements: Available to take calls and come in when needed

Pay Range:

$83,112.12 - $124,675.20

If the salary range is listed as $0 or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.

Under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), this position is classified as:

United States of America (Exempt)
