About the Role:

Job Summary

The Biomedical Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance, safety, and reliability of biomedical and medical equipment used in healthcare settings. This position is responsible for the installation, maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of a wide range of biomedical devices that support patient care and clinical operations. The technician collaborates closely with clinical and administrative staff to resolve equipment issues promptly, conduct safety inspections, maintain accurate records, and ensure full compliance with regulatory and manufacturer standards.

By upholding the highest standards of functionality and safety, the Biomedical Technician directly contributes to the delivery of high-quality healthcare services and operational efficiency within the organization.


Key ResponsibilitiesEquipment Maintenance & Repair
  • Perform preventive maintenance, calibration, and repair of biomedical equipment including diagnostic, therapeutic, and monitoring devices.

  • Respond promptly to service requests and troubleshoot malfunctions to minimize downtime and clinical disruption.

  • Conduct routine safety, electrical, and performance inspections in accordance with manufacturer and regulatory standards (FDA, IEC, ISO, etc.).

  • Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and software-related issues in medical devices.

Installation & Configuration
  • Install and configure new biomedical equipment based on clinical requirements and manufacturer specifications.

  • Verify proper integration and compliance with operational and safety standards.

  • Assist in evaluating new technologies and supporting the setup of replacement or upgraded equipment.

Documentation & Compliance
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, service histories, and equipment inventories.
