Position
In Vivo Biomedical Researcher
  • Location: Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland
  • Security Clearance: Active Clearance or Eligible to Obtain - U.S. citizenship required
  • Salary: $85,000 - $105,000 Depending on Experience and Education
  • Travel: 5%

Position Summary
SURVICE Engineering is currently seeking a In Vivo Biomedical Researcher to support our Aberdeen Research Operation. You will accelerate your career and become an integral team member within the defense community.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Support scientific efforts by participating in the planning, execution, and analysis of experiments.
  • Perform duties to include behavioral studies, tissue/sample collection, perfusion, molecular biology techniques.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment/supplies.
  • Schedule and execute experimental protocols.
  • Ensure the quality of procedures and data.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies.
  • Prepare and present presentations and written documents summarizing efforts

Minimum Qualifications of In Vivo Biomedical Researcher
Bachelor's Degree in STEM related field and 3-5 years of relevant experience. Exceptional candidates with less experience will be considered. Candidates are not required to possess all qualifications; if you possess some of the desired qualifications, please apply.
  • Experience with animal handling, neuro-cognitive behavioral assessments, in vivo bio-sampling, and tissue collection/necropsy are required. In vivo imaging (e.g. fiber-photometry), molecular biology (Cre-Lox, viral gene delivery, immunohistochemistry, western blot, etc.), or machine/deep learning (large dataset processing via Python, R, C++, MATLAB) is a plus
  • Experience documenting results in presentations and publications in technical reports, conference proceedings, and peer review journals
