Summerlin Hospital is a 496-bed hospital featuring emergency services; a busy maternity department with an average of 450 deliveries per month; a Children's Medical Center with a NICU, a pediatric ICU and separate pediatric ER; advanced cardiovascular care, surgical services, women's health and oncology care. Summerlin Hospital is an accredited Chest Pain with PCI facility and a Primary Stroke Center, and has received multiple awards from the American Heart Association Get with the Guidelines program.

Job Description:
Performs evaluations, repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance on devices used in the care and treatment of patients at UHS facilities. Meets all established key performance indicator (KPI) requirements.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
Education:
An associate degree required (Bachelor's degree preferred) in Biomedical Engineering Technology or degree in electronic engineering technology and related experience in repairs and troubleshooting of medical equipment or equivalent military or technical training.
Experience:
Minimum of three years of experience working in hospital Biomedical/Clinical Engineering department required. Five to eight years of experience preferred.
Technical Skills:
Understanding of regulatory requirements of medical devices (CMS, TJC, CLIA, AABB, NRC, State, Local)
License/Certification:
ACI Certification preferred (CBET,CRES,CLES OR CHTM). Employees meeting all other qualifications may have up to one year to obtain required certification with signed waiver.
Other:
Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patient.
