Your role at Baxter

As a Bilingual Technical Support Specialist, this is where your technical expertise directly supports healthcare professionals and helps ensure lifesaving medical devices perform safely and reliably when patients need them most.

This is where you become a trusted problemsolver-providing expert guidance, resolving complex technical issues, and delivering a customer experience that reflects Baxter's mission to save and sustain lives.

In this role, your success is measured by the quality of support you deliver, the confidence you build with customers and internal partners, and your ability to resolve issues efficiently while maintaining accurate, compliant documentation.

What you'll be doing

  • Provide technical support to customers and field service representatives via phone and email in a technical support help desk environment.

  • Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting on Baxter medical devices to identify root causes and recommend appropriate solutions.

  • Document and manage all capital customer interactions and capital field service work order requests using Baxterapproved contact management systems.

  • Conduct customer followup activities to confirm issue resolution and close service interactions.

  • Review, create, and track service part orders within the Order Management System, including order fulfillment and delivery confirmation.

  • Document and track engineering part returns for failure analysis in accordance with Baxter procedures.

  • Support field service, marketing, and sales teams with technical input related to product releases, upgrades, modifications, and technical documentation.

  • Read and interpret technical service manuals, technical bulletins, blueprints, and electrical schematic diagrams; travel within the U.S. and Canada for training as required.

What you'll bring

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French (required).

  • One of the following:

    • A Bachelor's or Associate's degree in biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related technical field (preferred), OR
    • A degree in another field combined with relevant technical work experience, OR
    • A high school diploma (or equivalent) with hands-on technical experience in a related field.
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude through hands-on experience such as internships, co-ops, academic projects, lab work, certifications, or practical work experience in a technical environment.

  • Exposure to electrical and/or mechanical systems through coursework, training, or on-the-job experience, including basic troubleshooting, testing, or diagnostics.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation (e.g., manuals, service guides, blueprints, or schematics), or a strong willingness to learn.

  • Experience documenting technical issues, service activities, or project work using structured tools or systems (academic or professional), or the ability to quickly learn new systems.

  • Familiarity with order management, service documentation, or inventory tracking concepts through work, coursework, or projects is an asset.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (or similar tools).

  • Willingness and ability to travel within the U.S. and Canada for training as required.

At Baxter,we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices.The estimated salary range for this position is $57,664.00 - $86,496.00 CAD annually, which reflects base salary as wellas estimated target payout under the Management Incentive Compensation Plan. Individual pay will bedetermined based upon skills, expertise and experience, and the incentive, which is contingent upon company andindividual performance outcomes.
