Organizational Summary:
The Department (https://www.usf.edu/engineering/me/) has 30 full-time faculty members and offers B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, as well as a minor in Aerospace Engineering. The Department's faculty members collaborate with all departments in the College of Engineering, as well as the Colleges of Medicine, Arts & Sciences, Marine Science, Education, Nursing, and Public Health. Responsibilities
Position Summary:
The Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of South Florida invites applications for the following:
A non-tenure track faculty position in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering. Applicants with backgrounds in aeronautics and astronautics, as well as in all areas of mechanical engineering, are encouraged to apply.
The position is available at the Associate Professor of Instruction levels and is expected to commence in the Spring of 2027 or earlier.

Qualifications
Minimum Desired Qualifications:
The position requires a doctoral degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited institution. The College of Engineering seeks candidates with a proven track record of teaching.
Preferred Qualifications:
The candidate should have demonstrated excellence in teaching and teaching publications, the potential for development of laboratories, and a strong commitment to mentoring undergraduate and graduate students.
