Job description

Position Summary

Alpa BioMed Labs is seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to expand our client base. This field-based role is responsible for driving new business growing relationships with new leads throughout an assigned multi-state territory.

The ideal candidate is a proactive sales professional who thrives on building relationships, identifying opportunities, and delivering exceptional customer service. This position requires approximately 50% outside sales focused on generating new leads and customers and 50% account management, supporting and expanding existing client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

New Business Development (50%)

  • Prospect and develop new business through cold calling, networking, referrals, and in-person visits.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities with physician offices, clinics, healthcare providers, employers, laboratories, and other referral sources.
  • Schedule and conduct sales presentations highlighting Alpa BioMed Labs' diagnostic testing services.
  • Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline to achieve monthly and annual sales goals.
  • Close new business opportunities.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.

Account Management (50%)

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new customers.
  • Conduct routine account visits to ensure customer satisfaction and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Educate clients on new laboratory testing services and service enhancements.
  • Collaborate with operations, client services, and billing teams to resolve customer concerns promptly.
  • Monitor account activity and develop strategic plans to increase utilization and customer retention.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, sales activities, and forecasts using the company's CRM.

Territory & Travel

This position supports customers throughout the following territories:

  • New York
  • Florida
  • Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas
  • Houston, Texas
  • Orange County, California
  • Virginia
  • Oregon
  • Tennessee

Travel is expected to be approximately 50%, including overnight travel as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional sales experience.
  • Sales Representative: Minimum of 3 years of successful outside sales experience.
  • Experience in healthcare, laboratory diagnostics, medical device, physician services, healthcare technology, or other B2B sales environments is preferred.
  • Pharmaceutical sales experience is welcome but is not required.
  • Proven ability to generate new business while managing and growing existing accounts.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce or HubSpot.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel approximately 50%.
