BIOMED TECHNICIAN I
Salary Range: $24.02 - $36.03 USD Hourly
Required Drivers License

Preferred Associates Degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field
Under supervision of the Biomed Manager and other senior technicians, the Biomed Technician I inspects, repairs, maintains, and calibrates a variety of basic clinical equipment, devices, system, and instruments. This position routinely interacts with other clinical health providers in the identification of technology-based problems and solution development.
BIOMED TECHNICIAN II
Salary Range: $26.48 - $39.72 USD Hourly
Required Drivers License
Required minimum experience of 3 years
Preferred Associates Degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field
Under supervision of the Biomed Manager and other senior technicians, the Biomed Technician II inspects, repairs, maintains, and calibrates all types of basic clinical equipment, devices, system, and instruments. This position interacts on a routine basis with other clinical health providers in the identification of technology-based problems and solution development. The Biomed Technician II possesses the ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a broad range of clinical inventory devices. This position participates in and conducts on-the-job training programs regarding technical, administrative, and customer service requirements.
BIOMED TECHNICIAN III
Salary Range: $29.19 - $43.79 USD Hourly

The Biomed Technician III inspects, repairs, maintains, and calibrates all types of basic clinical equipment, devices, system, and instruments. Interact on a routine basis with other clinical health providers in the identification of technology-based problems and solution development. The Biomed Technician III represents the highest level of technical expertise and possesses the ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain the full range of clinical inventory devices, instrumentation, and systems. This position possesses a substantial background of knowledge and experience and is expected to contribute to: corporate initiatives regarding improvement and development of policy and procedures, technical guidance in the selection and installation of medical equipment and systems, and staff development and mentorship.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Provides technical assistance and instruction to hospital staff on equipment operations and maintenance.
  • Performs planned maintenance, safety tests, and calibrate medical equipment as directed utilizing specialized equipment. Performs incoming inspections, attaches and assigns control numbers and labels, and acquires the necessary information for accurate database inventory entries.
  • Performs all tasks in strict adherence to the departmental Medical Equipment Management Plan (MEMP).
  • Reviews service requests and conveys course of action planned. Provide timely and accurate status reports to customers on a routine basis.
  • Assists in ordering parts and supplies.
  • Maintains accurate and thorough documentation and record keeping in a timely manner. Opens and closes work orders accurately and within required time.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs a broad range of clinical equipment and system malfunctions.
  • Provides front-line supervision, mentoring and training to junior technicians, as assigned. Participates in development of and conducts OJT sessions as assigned.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.
