Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive biomechanical evaluations and movement assessments to identify areas for intervention.
- Develop and implement individualized rehabilitation programs utilizing manual therapy techniques and evidence-based practices.
- Perform advanced return-to-play testing and design sport-specific training regimens to help athletes safely resume their activities.
- Collaborate with athletic trainers, orthopedic specialists, and other healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes.
- Educate athletes on injury prevention strategies, recovery protocols, and techniques to enhance long-term mobility and performance.
In this role, you will primarily work with athletes of varying skill levels, including youth sports participants, weekend warriors, and elite athletes. Your focus will extend beyond injury rehabilitation; you will be instrumental in guiding patients through the recovery process, equipping them with the knowledge they need for sustainable athletic careers. By addressing both physical ailments and performance goals, you will make a lasting impact on their overall health and activity levels.
Qualifications- A valid Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) license in Nevada or eligibility to obtain one.
- A strong interest in sports medicine and a commitment to continuous learning within the field of biomechanics and rehabilitation.
- Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and functional performance training.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to ensure a patient-centered approach and foster collaborative relationships.
- Ability to adapt to both rehab and return-to-sport environments seamlessly.
- Board certification as a Sports Clinical Specialist (SCS) or Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS).
- Experience in athletic training, particularly within collegiate or professional sports rehabilitation settings.
- Familiarity with advanced therapeutic modalities such as blood flow restriction and dry needling, as well as proficiency in sport-tech tools including force plates and motion capture systems.
- A proven track record of working effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a focus on quality patient care.
