Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physical therapists in the development and implementation of customized treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Utilize therapeutic techniques such as manual therapy, exercise therapy, and modalities to help patients regain strength and mobility.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations, assessing patients' functional abilities and progress toward rehabilitation goals.
  • Educate patients on proper techniques for carrying out prescribed exercises, helping them understand the importance of adherence to their therapy plan.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient progress, treatments administered, and any changes in treatment plans, adhering to our electronic medical record (EMR) system.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and rehabilitation specialists, to ensure seamless continuity of care and effective communication regarding patient needs.
  • Encourage and motivate patients throughout their recovery journey, fostering a supportive and empathetic environment that enhances their confidence and well-being.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily involves working with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. You will engage with a diverse patient population, ranging from young athletes to seniors, each requiring individualized treatment approaches to restore function and improve quality of life.

Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited program.
  • Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant in Nevada.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with patients and their families.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for improving patient outcomes.
  • Basic proficiency in using EMR systems for documentation and tracking patient progress.
Preferred Experience
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant, particularly within orthopedic settings.
  • Hands-on experience with a variety of therapeutic modalities and rehabilitation techniques.
  • Experience in coordinating care as part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Interest in pursuing specialized certifications in rehabilitation or advanced therapy techniques.
Compensation and Benefits
