Job description

T3 is seeking a Strength & Conditioning Coach to support student-athletes within the Lorain County School District. This position requires the coach to work onsite at a designated high school within Lorain County, OH.
The Strength & Conditioning Coach is responsible for designing and implementing performance training programs that enhance athletic performance, physical fitness, and overall health. This role involves assessing athletes' physical capabilities, developing age-appropriate training plans, providing hands-on coaching, and monitoring progress to maximize performance while reducing the risk of injury. The coach will work directly with student-athletes in the school setting while representing T3's standards of excellence and commitment to athlete development.
T3 Performance was founded in 2009 to help athletes in varying sports reach their full potential. T3's training programs promote injury prevention by incorporating mobility and stabilization as the foundation of proper training. The ultimate goal at T3 is to maximize performance results for each athlete by providing them with effective and progressive training methods in a positive atmosphere. T3 Performance offers athlete training, sports skill lessons, adult training as well as offering a variety of different events, leagues and club teams. Club teams within the T3 family include Warhawks Baseball, Mavericks Softball, Cleveland Volleyball Company (CVC), North FC Soccer, Sporting Columbus and Team Challenger FC.
At T3 Performance, we are looking for individuals to join our team that want to:

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized and group performance training programs
  • Conduct fitness and athletic assessments (ex. strength, speed, agility, flexibility and endurance testing)
  • Provide instruction on proper exercise techniques, form and safety
  • Monitor athlete and client progress, making adjustments to training plans as needed
  • Collaborate with athletic trainers, physical therapists and nutritionists to support holistic performance goals
  • Educate clients on topics such as recovery, injury prevention, nutrition, and mental resilience
  • Maintain detailed records of training sessions and performance metrics
  • Ensure a safe, supportive, and motivating environment for all clients and athletes
  • Stay current on the latest research, methods, and technologies in sports science and fitness
  • May assist in marketing, workshops, or community outreach events related to fitness and athletic performance

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Knowledge of biomechanics, exercise physiology and program periodization
  • Strong communication and motivational skills
  • Experience working with specific populations (ex. youth, collegiate, elite athletes)
  • Familiarity with sports technology and performance tracking tools
  • Background in rehabilitation or return to play protocols is a plus
  • Team oriented, enthusiastic and driven to help others achieve peak performance

Education, Experience, Certifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Sports Performance, or a related field (Master's preferred)
  • Professional certification such as:
    • NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS)
    • NASM Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES)
    • USA Weightlifting (USAW)
  • CPR/AED certification required
  • 2+ years of experience in athletic training, fitness coaching, or sports performance
  • Experience using VALD's ForceDecks, SmartSpeed, NordBord, and ForceFrame (or similar technologies) to assess athlete performance, monitor readiness and recovery, and inform training program design
  • Experience analyzing performance data and communicating insights to athletes and coaches
  • Experience using programming and workout tracking software, such as TeamBuildr, Tully, or BridgeAthletic, to design, deliver and track athlete training programs
