Job Summary/Basic Function
A Student Micro Prep Assistant is an important part of the Department of Biology team. As a student employee, you will broaden your knowledge of university and office policies by interfacing with a variety of students, staff, and faculty, while providing customer service and assisting with a variety of tasks.
Specific Responsibilities
Assist in preparing microbiological media, reagents, stock cultures, and miscellaneous supplies used in experiments taught in a variety of microbiology teaching laboratories. Duties also include dishes, lab setup and takedown, and the general cleaning and maintenance of the microbiology preparatory and teaching laboratories.
