About Us
SWTHZ Contrast Therapy is a fast-growing wellness brand bringing private sauna + cold plunge recovery suites to San Mateo. We help people reduce stress, recover faster, and feel better, without crowded gyms or traditional spa experiences. Were launching soon and looking for a scrappy, results-driven PR & Influencer Marketing Manager to build local buzz, secure media coverage, and drive presale awareness.
What Youll Own
This role is focused on one thing: generating awareness and demand before we open. Then continued brand awareness and lead generation.
PR & Media Outreach:
  • Write and distribute a Coming Soon press release
  • Build and manage a targeted local media list (TV, digital, print, community outlets)
  • Pitch and secure earned media coverage (features, interviews, segments)
  • Coordinate 1 week of active media pitching + follow-ups
  • Position SWTHZ within wellness, recovery, and lifestyle trends
Influencer Marketing (KEY PART):
  • Identify and recruit 2030 local influencers (15K75K followers)
  • Focus on:
    • Fitness (OTF, Pilates, runners)
    • Wellness / biohacking
    • Lifestyle creators in San Mateo / Peninsula
  • Negotiate partnerships (free memberships, preview access, etc.)
  • Coordinate:
    • Content deliverables (posts, reels, stories)
    • Timing aligned with presale + opening
  • Track engagement + performance
Awareness + Lead Generation Support:
  • Align PR + influencer efforts with presale campaign
  • Drive traffic to Founders List / landing page
  • Recommend creative angles that increase visibility and conversions
What Were Looking For
We want a DOER, not just a strategist.

Must-Have:
  • Proven experience in local PR, media pitching, or public relations
  • Experience securing earned media placements
  • Strong network OR ability to build one quickly
  • Experience sourcing and managing influencers
  • Excellent communication + follow-up skills (this role is outreach-heavy)
Preferred:
  • Experience in fitness, wellness, or lifestyle brands
  • Familiarity with Bay Area / San Mateo media landscape
  • Startup or launch experience
  • Experience driving measurable results (leads, traffic, signups)
Perks
  • Be part of a fast-growing, supportive wellness brand
  • Free SWTHZ sessions (contrast therapy + red light therapy = unlimited recovery)
  • Competitive pay + performance-based bonuses tied to team success
  • Flexible schedule
  • Training, development, and branded gear provided

Flexible work from home options available.
