Job description
Bestica is hiring a Bioenvironmental Curriculum Developer to provide services at Wright Patterson AFB located in Dayton, OH – ONSITE.
Description Of Services: The scope of this effort is to provide technical support services for the United States Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine, Department of Occupational and Environmental Health, Force Development Division (USAFSAM/OED). Technical support involves designing, drafting, and validating distance learning and in-residence courses and supporting Utilization and Training Workshop activities and associated Career Field Education and Training Plan development and validation. Technical training materials subjects include health risk assessment, occupational and environmental health site assessment, radiological health, Bioenvironmental Engineering (BE) response operations, and other related subjects. Support will require contractor personnel to interface with students, USAFSAM staff, 711th HPW and USAF Surgeon General Staff. All contractor personnel supporting this task order shall be technically and professionally qualified in the application of the Air Force Instructional Systems Development (ISD) process and must have solid working knowledge of the Air Force’s Bioenvironmental Engineering career field.

Mandatory Qualifications:
- The Employee shall possess a minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Preventive Medicine or a related field.
- The Employee shall possess a minimum of 4 years of equivalent work experience in the Bioenvironmental Engineering career field or other federal preventive medicine/public health professions.
- The Employee shall possess and demonstrate experience developing training materials using a formal Instructional System Design model such as ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate) or competency-based education techniques.
- The Employee shall demonstrate strong data analytical skills and experience using related software such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Blackboard, or other similar tools to identify and assess OEH data and must possess typing skills and a working knowledge of the use of Microsoft Office to include, but not limited to, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint programs.
- The Employee shall demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills and demonstrate experience communicating with senior Air Force or DoD leaders to advocate courses of action to improve program performance and/or data quality.
- The Employee shall possess strong filing and organizational skills to maintain and update electronic files and records.
- The Employee shall have the ability to work/perform independently.
- The Employee shall have a signed Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) in place with their company based on potential access to confidential, proprietary, and/or sensitive information. NDA shall be provided to the Government Program Manager by start of performance. All products and electronic files resulting from this contract effort will become the property of the United States Air Force (USAF).
- The Government may consider an exception for education and/or experience requirement on a case-by-case basis.
Highly Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Preventive Medicine or a related field.
- Experience developing Career Development Course (CDC), Qualification Training Packages (QTPs), and/or On the Job Training (OJT).
- Experience designing online training materials using software such as Tableau, Python, Power BI, or other similar tools.
- The employee shall demonstrate a minimum of 4 years of experience conducting Health Risk Assessments and managing/implementing Occupational and Environmental Health or preventive medicine/public health programs in the Department of Defense.
