Advertised Job Summary
We are seeking exceptional applicants with a strong research background in Biochemistry/Molecular Biology to join our department. Successful candidates are expected to develop a cutting-edge, externally funded research program that integrates with the SmartState Center in Neurotherapeutics at USC. Successful applicants will provide evidence of or show potential for making meaningful contributions to the department's teaching mission at both undergraduate and graduate levels, especially in courses related to their area of expertise and in line with departmental strengths. Additionally, successful applicants will provide service to the University, profession, and community.
Required Education and Experience
Ph.D. in biochemistry, chemical biology, molecular biology, or a related discipline plus a minimum of 2 years of postdoctoral experience by the start date of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
Ph.D. in biochemistry, chemical biology, molecular biology, or a related discipline plus a minimum of 2 years of postdoctoral experience by the start date of employment. Research areas of special interest include, but are not limited to, neurochemistry, neurogenetics, genomics, proteomics, and transcriptomics.
