Join Aztalan Bio as a Regenerative Ag Associate and help support a growing, innovative biorefinery in Jefferson, WI. This role offers a Mon–Fri schedule, competitive pay, and a strong benefits package including medical, dental, vision, PTO, sick time, and more. The Regen Ag. Associate is a full-time, field-based position that develops farmer relationships and enrolls individual farmers in Aztalan Bio's regenerative agriculture and low-carbon corn programs, including 45Z-related opportunities. Compensation includes a competitive salary plus performance bonus.

Based in Johnson Creek, Wisconsin and assigned a geographic territory, the Associate is the primary link between participating farmers and the third-party verification process. The role works closely with Aztalan's grain origination team to maintain detailed records and manage relationships with growers. 

  • Prospect, educate, and enroll new and existing Aztalan growers through cold outreach, referrals, farm visits, and consistent follow-up.
  • Explain 45Z-related program requirements, eligible regenerative agriculture practices, required records, and potential value opportunities.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between participating farmers, third-party verifiers, and Aztalan from initial contact through annual program renewal.
  • Maintain accurate CRM and program records for farmer contacts, acres, practices, enrollment status, documents, expected bushels, and follow-up dates.
  • Coordinate with Aztalan grain buyers to maintain clear account roles, transition grain contracting needs, and achieve targets for farmers, acres, and low-carbon corn bushels enrolled.
  • Assists with updating a database of competitor bids, capacities, and shipping hours.
  • Assists with maintaining a regional corn supply/demand estimate.



Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, agriculture, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 1-3 years of sales, business development, account management, or other customer-facing experience  
  • Self-motivated, organized, persistent, and comfortable with cold prospecting, independent territory management, and collaborative teamwork.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with aptitude to learn new software and systems.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle to use for farm visits.  

Work Environment & Physical Demands 

  • The work environment is an office setting as well as traveling to farms approximately 40-60% of the time.  
  • Employee will be required to stand, walk, and occasionally lift supplies, products, or equipment is required.
  • Employee must be able to operate a motorized vehicle.   
  • This position may enter the plant environment, in which the employee may be exposed to moderate to high noise levels, moving mechanical parts, and/or to chemicals used in the process.
