Bridge Specialty Group is seeking a Junior Underwriting Assistant to join our growing team in Portland, OR!

The Junior Underwriting Assistant responsibilities include managing the internal 59-day list and assisting Underwriting and Accounting teams in processing 59-day notices, as well as overseeing surplus lines tax filing queries. Additionally, process audit tax filings, carrier reconciliation, renewal solicit management, and reconciling binding subjectivities and requirements.

How You Will Contribute:

  • Manage internal 59-day list, assist Underwriting and Accounting teams in processing 59-day notices.

  • Management of surplus lines tax filing queries.

  • Process Audit tax filings within management system.

  • Carrier reconciliation: Processing system corrections (commission, market provider, etc.), direct bill invoicing, processing of AOR/BOR requests.

  • Renewal solicit management.

  • Reconcile binding subjectivities and requirements.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • P&C State Licensed

Skills & Experience to Be Successful:

  • Minimum Education required; HS diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in a business or financial related discipline

  • Proficient with MS Office

  • Exceptional telephone demeanor

  • 1-3 years' experience in a similar administrative support position
