Job description

I. Summary
The BIM Modeler is responsible for creating, managing, and maintaining digital models for MEP projects. This role focuses on accurate model development, compliance with company and industry standards, and supporting project teams with high-quality BIM deliverables. The BIM Modeler collaborates with engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems into project workflows.
II. Duties amp; Responsibilities
  • Model Development amp; Maintenance
    • Create and maintain Revit models following company and project-specific BIM standards.
    • Convert 2D CAD drawings into 3D models using proprietary and industry-standard tools.
    • Ensure models are clean, well-organized, and free of errors or unnecessary elements.
    • Perform regular audits and resolve warnings to maintain model integrity.
  • Project Setup amp; Coordination
    • Assist in project setup, including Revit templates, worksets, and collaboration settings.
    • Set up and manage Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) projects as needed.
    • Participate in coordination meetings to provide updates and resolve model-related issues.
  • Data Management amp; Deliverables
    • Generate accurate drawings, schedules, and material take-offs from BIM models.
    • Assist in the preparation of digital deliverables, ensuring compliance with Project Execution Plan (PxP) and client requirements.
  • Training amp; End-User Support
    • Provide basic support to team members for Revit and BIM-related issues.
    • Assist in training sessions to improve team proficiency in BIM workflows.
    • Stay updated on software updates and enhancements to optimize modeling techniques.
  • Standards amp; Process Improvement
    • Adhere to company BIM standards and contribute to their improvement.
    • Implement best practices for model efficiency and performance optimization.

III. Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with BIM Managers to ensure project goals are met.
