As a VDC intern, you will take on responsibilities similar to those on our VDC team, giving you a firsthand look at a career in construction. A mentor will be assigned to guide and support you throughout the internship. Additionally, you will have the chance to engage in company events and community volunteer activities.

The key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist department managers and team members with daily tasks and projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals, offering creative ideas for process improvements.
  • Assist VDC Manager and VDC Engineer to prepare documents that meet project scope and schedule including BIM Execution Plans, Kick-Off Agendas, and Meeting Minutes
  • Promote Knutson Construction through community involvement and deliver The Knutson Experience.
  • Ability to travel to and within project sites
  • Exhibit behaviors and actions that are aligned with Knutson's Zero Incident Safety Culture
  • Respond to and complete all other duties, tasks and/or projects as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Adaptability and willingness to take on new challenges.
  • Knowledge of and proficient in the use of personal computers and related Microsoft software.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong skills in time management, ability to work under pressure and tight timelines, working with multiple demands with strong attention to details.

Minimum Education and/or Experience Requirements:

Currently enrolled in an accredited college and pursuing an associate's or bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related discipline.
