Job Title: Billing ClerkJob Description

The Billing Clerk is responsible for overseeing the billing process from inception to completion, ensuring accurate customer quotes, timely invoicing, and maintaining updated customer records. This role involves verifying charges, preparing invoices and credit memos, and delivering them to customers via mail or email. The clerk also calculates amounts owed, updates billing systems, and supports financial operations through efficient document management and customer service. Effective coordination with other departments and keen attention to detail are crucial to facilitate smooth billing cycles and enhance customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the billing process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Verify charges and prepare invoices and credit memos for customers.
  • Deliver invoices via mail or email.
  • Calculate amounts owed and update billing systems accordingly.
  • Support financial operations through document management and customer service.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth billing cycles.
  • Maintain up-to-date customer records and resolve billing-related inquiries.
Essential Skills
  • Proficient in data entry, specifically inputting detailed and accurate shipment quote information.

Work Environment

The role is based in an office environment with a team of approximately 13 members. The office is set up in a cubicle format. The dress code is casual, excluding workout wear. The position requires on-site presence with a training shift from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Shifts may vary between the operating hours of 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM and will be discussed during the interview process.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
