Job Description: Billing Analyst, Associate

The Billing Analyst supports Datasite clients and Sales by ensuring accurate and timely billing through invoice preparation, validation, and analysis. The role manages and analyzes customer and billing data and resolves a wide range of billing inquiries throughout the M&A lifecycle. The role requires a strong balance of analytical expertise, technical proficiency, and interpersonal skills to deliver accurate, responsive, and seamless billing experience.

Responsibilities
  • Review account, order, billing, and invoice data to support accurate and timely invoicing.
  • Gather and validate billing records, customer data, and supporting documentation.
  • Respond to customer, Sales, and internal stakeholder billing questions and issues.
  • Research billing discrepancies, charges, adjustments, and usage using reports, Excel, Salesforce, and other tools.
  • Provide invoice copies, summaries, cost-to-date information, and related billing documentation.
  • Triage requests and collaborate with internal teams to resolve or appropriately route billing matters.
  • Partner with Collections, Client Services, Sales, Accounts Receivable, Legal, Treasury, Security and Compliance, and other teams on billing, vendor, payment, and banking requests.
  • Maintain accurate customer and billing data and support data quality, integrity, and audit readiness.
  • Analyze billing and customer data to identify trends, improvement opportunities, and insights for reporting or special projects.
  • Document service requests, customer interactions, and communications in Salesforce Service Cloud or similar systems.
  • Build effective relationships with customers and internal partners while delivering excellent service.
  • Follow internal standards, data practices, and applicable requirements related to customer and billing data.
  • Support general Finance inquiries, purchase order follow-up, W-9 forms, and other assigned tasks.
  • Manage competing priorities and deadlines while delivering accurate, timely work.
Education

Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Business Analytics, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Experience

2 to 4 years of related experience in billing, accounting, customer service, product support, data management, analytics, or a similar business support environment. Experience with Salesforce or a similar CRM system. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and pivot tables; advanced functions such as VLOOKUPs are preferred. Experience working with billing or customer data, reporting, and data analysis tools. Knowledge of M&A, financial, legal, or industry services is a plus.
