Job Summary
Counter Control Operators work as a team to provide a top tier experience to all customers and visitors of IMU Bowling and Billiards guests with prompt, efficient, courteous service, and ensure that maximum utilization of lanes and equipment is realized through efficient control of the flow of guests.
Department-Specific Responsibilities
  • Performs frontline customer service in person and over the phone.
  • Runs a Point of Sales system, handling cash and credit card transactions.
  • Uses GLORY system to receive and deposit cash.
  • Monitors lanes, billiards hall and table tennis area for proper customer usage.
  • Interfaces with and repairs minor jams of the Brunswick A2 pinsetter.
  • Works as part of a team to accomplish short- and long-term goals.
  • Does basic cleaning of associated with maintaining the center and equipment.
  • Operate facility audio and video equipment.
  • Track pinsetter trouble stops using Forms.
  • Ensures customers receive prompt, efficient, courteous service.
  • Handles complaints, using judgment as to which ones to refer to management.
  • Utilizes proper cash handling techniques, per University procedures and in accordance with Trustwave training.
  • Closes and opens center upon direction of management.

Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this position must be able to lift 25 pounds. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
