Salary Range: $70,000.00 To $75,000.00 Annually

BILINGUAL FOOD PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR

  • Chicago Food Factory:2136 South Peoria Street Chicago, IL 60608 | Rotating swing shift schedule starting at 4:00am, 5:30pm including weekend working.
Responsibilities

As the Overnight Food Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for day-to-day operations of the plant. This will include optimizing production with a lean mindset, productivity, maximizing yield, accurate reporting and ensuring the highest quality for our customers.

  • Monitors and guarantees that products are being manufactured in conformance with manufacturing and food safety practices.
  • Works closely with QA Team, to identify departmental and kitchen issues.
  • Supervises the daily activities to ensure proper Food Safety and Quality.
  • Reviews and updates work aids essential for verification of product quality.
  • Responsible for managing the overall daily production process.
  • Trains and coaches the team to meet defined productivity targets.
  • Assists with identifying and implementing process improvement initiatives.
  • Previews production and operating reports and resolves operational manufacturing and maintenance problems, to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays and oversee inventory.
  • Develops and works with supervisors in all areas such as problem-solving, setting and achieving goals, manufacturing processes, scheduling and equipment problems.
  • Training and cross-training all employees on the production line, evaluate and review production staff, and recommend/initiate disciplinary actions.
  • Encourages and promotes a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement.
  • Assists in special projects and generates a summary of the projectโ€™s performance.
Qualifications
  • 3 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment required, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory capacity or 4 years as a Lead in a manufacturing environment.
  • Equivalent combinations of related education and/or experience may be considered.
  • Experience with quality systems and knowledge of statistics, HACCP, Food Safety Programs, and Six Sigma is preferred.
  • Must be reliable, responsible, and proactive with the initiative to take the next level.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish required.
  • Ability to work in a cold refrigerated environment.
  • This facility operates seven days a week. The successful candidate must be flexible with their schedule. Preference will be given to those who are available for afternoon shifts and can work on various days and shifts.
