Job description

BIDCO Marine Group – Buffalo, NY | Home Every Night

Since 1993, BIDCO Marine Group (Buffalo Industrial Diving Company) has been a leading inland and offshore marine and underwater construction contractor on the Great Lakes and across the Northeast. With a multi-year backlog and an expanding fleet of equipment, we require the immediate addition of a Master Mechanic to our team at our modern waterfront headquarters in Buffalo, NY.

What You’ll Work

  • Boats (Cummins, Caterpillar)
  • Cranes (American/Terex, Link-Belt, Pettibone, Grove)
  • Heavy equipment including excavators, loaders, forklifts
  • Hydraulics, winches, pumps, compressors,
  • Trucks, trailers, pickups, and vast support fleet of small equipment
  • Shop fabrication, welding, and custom modifications

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance and routine repairs
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot diesel, hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems
  • Weld and fabricate (stick, MIG, TIG)
  • Maintain parts inventory and detailed service records
  • Undertakes winter refits and new equipment builds

What You Bring

  • 15+ years heavy equipment / diesel mechanic experience
  • Diagnostic and repair skills on diesel engines and hydraulics
  • Welding and fabrication abilities a plus
  • Current crane operator or past crane experience a very major plus
  • Your own professional tools (we supply everything else)
  • Clean driving record and ability to pass background/drug screen (TWIC helpful)
  • Self-motivated, reliable, dependable
