Job description

Job Category: Marketing
Requisition Number: SPECV002035
Description

Delta Defense is seeking a versatile Video Producer & Editor to create compelling content for the Unites States Concealed Carry Association (USCCA) across advertising, social media, YouTube, training, brand campaigns, member communications, and other digital platforms.

This role covers the full production process, from concept development and filming to editing, motion graphics, and final delivery. The ideal candidate can develop original stories, capture content in the field or studio, and turn existing footage into polished, platform-ready creative. They will use AI-assisted production, generative media, and modern tools to improve speed, expand creative possibilities, and build efficient workflows while advancing the USCCA mission.

Key ResponsibilitiesVideo Production
  • Collaborate with creative leaders, producers, stakeholders, and subject-matter experts to develop video concepts and production approaches.
  • Support projects from initial concept through final delivery, including pre-production planning, story development, shot lists, filming, editing, and distribution preparation.
  • Capture professional video content in studio, office, classroom, range, event, and on-location environments.
  • Operate cameras, lighting, audio, stabilization, and other production equipment safely and effectively.
  • Help conduct interviews and capture authentic performances from members, employees, instructors, partners, and on-camera talent.
  • Adapt production methods to fit projects ranging from fast-turn social content to larger campaign and long-form productions.
Video Editing and Post-Production
  • Edit short-form and long-form video content for advertising, social media, YouTube, training, brand campaigns, member communications, and internal initiatives.
  • Shape raw footage into clear, engaging stories through strong pacing, structure, sound design, music, graphics, and visual sequencing.
  • Create platform-specific versions, cutdowns, trailers, promotional edits, and content variations.
  • Perform essential color correction, audio cleanup, captioning, finishing, and quality-control work.
  • Incorporate motion graphics, animation, visual effects, and branded graphic elements when appropriate.
  • Prepare and deliver final files according to technical specifications, distribution requirements, and accessibility standards.
AI-Enabled Creative Production
  • Use AI-assisted editing, generative media, transcription, captioning, voice, audio, and workflow-automation tools to support video production.
  • Explore new technologies and production techniques that improve quality, speed, scalability, or creative potential.
  • Apply human creative judgment to ensure AI-assisted content remains authentic, accurate, brand-aligned, and production-ready.
  • Help establish repeatable AI-enabled workflows, templates, and production standards for the video team.
  • Share emerging tools, techniques, and practical learnings with creative and production partners.
Multi-Channel Content Development
  • Produce content tailored to the expectations and viewing behaviors of platforms such as YouTube, Meta, TikTok, OTT, websites, learning platforms, and member-facing channels.
  • Understand how hooks, pacing, duration, aspect ratio, and narrative structure should change across audiences and platforms.
  • Support digital advertising initiatives by creating campaign assets and iterative creative variations.
  • Use audience response, campaign findings, and stakeholder feedback to strengthen future creative decisions without allowing performance metrics alone to define the storytelling.
  • Stay current on video-production trends, platform capabilities, visual styles, and emerging content formats.
Creative Collaboration
  • Partner with creative directors, designers, copywriters, photographers, producers, marketers, and business stakeholders to bring ideas to life.
  • Contribute original concepts, story treatments, visual approaches, interview questions, hooks, and content formats.
  • Receive and apply creative feedback while maintaining momentum in fast-moving production environments.
  • Protect USCCA and Delta Defense brand standards across all video deliverables.
  • Balance creative ambition with project objectives, timelines, resources, and production realities.
Production Systems and Asset Management
  • Maintain organized project files, footage, audio, graphics, templates, and final deliverables.
  • Follow established file-management, backup, archiving, and digital asset management practices.
  • Build reusable editing templates and production systems that improve efficiency and consistency.
  • Maintain production equipment and communicate equipment, software, or workflow needs to the Video Manager.
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining a high standard of craftsmanship.
QualificationsRequired
  • 3+ years of professional experience in video production, editing, or a closely related creative role.
  • Demonstrated experience contributing to multiple phases of video production, including planning, filming, editing, and delivery.
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and working knowledge of After Effects or comparable motion-graphics tools.
  • Working knowledge of professional camera, lighting, and audio equipment.
  • Strong understanding of visual storytelling, editing rhythm, composition, sound, and narrative structure.
  • Experience producing content for multiple formats and digital platforms.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, organize complex media files, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • This role works three days a week on site at our HQ in West Bend, WI.
Preferred

  • Motion graphics, animation, color-grading, sound-design, or visual-effects experience.
  • Experience producing interviews, documentary-style stories, educational content, social media, YouTube, or advertising creative.
  • Experience working in studio and on-location production environments.
  • Familiarity with direct-response advertising and performance-marketing principles.
  • Experience developing platform-specific content variations and creative-testing assets.
  • Photography, livestreaming, podcast production, or multicamera production experience.
  • Interest in firearms education, responsible gun ownership, personal protection, or the USCCA mission.
