Job description

Flowly Solutions is looking for an experienced Powder Coater to join our team in Sacramento, CA. We handle specialty relocation, equipment repair, assembly, and custom metal restoration. We need a skilled technician who can handle the full finishing process, from initial surface preparation and media sandblasting through to final powder application and curing.

This is a full-time position with regular overtime available for those who want it. You will work Monday through Friday in a structured shop setting. Prior experience operating electrostatic powder coating spray guns along with abrasive sandblasting equipment is highly preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate electrostatic spray guns to apply smooth, even dry powder coatings to metal components according to thickness and coverage specifications.
  • Set up and operate abrasive sandblasting equipment to clean, strip rust/paint, and create proper profile depth on metal parts prior to coating.
  • Wash, degrease, and plug or mask off critical threads, machined surfaces, and sensitive areas using high-temp tape and silicone plugs.
  • Hang parts on racks, safely transfer items into curing ovens, and monitor bake temperatures and dwell times for proper powder adhesion and finish quality.
  • Inspect finished parts for light coverage, runs, bubbles, or surface contaminants; fix or rework defects before final packaging.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on spray guns, powder hoppers, blast pots, spray booths, and ventilation systems.
  • Safely move parts, racks, and heavy components throughout the shop using pallet jacks or hoists.

Qualifications:

  • We prefer 1 - 2 years of hands-on powder coating experience (including surface prep and sandblasting).
  • Familiarity with electrostatic powder equipment, blast media and pressure settings, masking techniques, and oven cure cycles.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently, stand for extended periods, and comfortably wear required PPE (respirators, blast hoods, safety gear).
  • Pride in producing clean, defect-free finishes and catching surface flaws before spraying.
  • Dependable attendance, strong work ethic, and reliable transportation to our Sacramento shop.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but proven hands-on shop experience takes priority.

Benefits:

  • Competitive hourly pay with performance-based bonuses
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance plans
  • 401k retirement plan
  • Paid time off (PTO) and paid holidays
  • Regular overtime opportunities
  • All required safety gear and specialty protective equipment provided

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday (No weekends)
  • 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (Plus overtime when available)

Flowly Solutions gives equal consideration to all qualified applicants without discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status. We value hard work, integrity, and bringing out the best in our people.
